In this presentation I will give a quick overview and status on where the project stands at this time, what the road ahead looks like, and talk about the process, and what I've learned along the way.

Hubzilla is a powerful free and open source server for what has become known as the fediverse – or sometimes the social web. Throughout it's development it has pioneered some important features for making federated social networks safer as well as more private, resilient, inclusive and censorship resistant. This talk will explore these features, and how they fit together to contribute to a safer and more inclusive fediverse.
